Let’s prepare the filling first. In a bowl, beat together the cream cheese and butter until smooth and combined. Gradually add the powdered sugar until totally combined. Transfer to a piping bag, and set aside. In a medium bowl, whisk together all of the ingredients for the French toast until completely combined. Transfer the mixture to a small casserole dish. Heat up a saucepan or griddle with nonstick spray or butter. Turn it on medium to low heat. Dip each slice of bread in the liquid mixture for 30-45 seconds on EACH side. Add the bread to the hot pan or griddle and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side. Make sure the temperature is on medium to low so it doesn’t brown/burn easily. Flip the bread once it’s golden brown. Transfer the toast to a pan or plate. Pipe the filling on only HALF of the cooked toasts. Top the toast with the filling with another piece of toast. Add your desired topping and enjoy!
