Preheat oven to 350 F, and grease and line a 9x13 in pan with parchment paper. Set aside. In a large bowl, combine the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking soda, baking powder and salt. Add the eggs, coffee, buttermilk, oil and vanilla. Vigorously whisk for 2 minutes. Pour into the prepared pan. Bake for 40-45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into cake comes out clean. Cool completely before adding the frosting. To make frosting: Beat the softened butter on medium-high speed for 3ā4 minutes until pale and fluffy. Gradually, sift in the powdered sugar, cocoa powder, and salt, then mix on low speed until mostly combined. Add the vanilla extract and 4 tbsps of heavy cream or milk, and beat on medium speed until smooth. Increase the speed to high and beat for 2ā3 more minutes to create a light, airy texture. Add more cream if needed for a softer consistency.
