What you need

oz grated parmesan cheese

pepper

tsp salt

cup olive oil

puff pastry sheet

cup fresh spinach
lemon

clove garlic clove

tbsp unsalted butter

cup walnut pieces

cup parmesan cheese
Instructions
For Pesto: - Combine all of the pesto ingredients in a food processor (or blender) until smooth or your desired consistency. For puff pastry: - Preheat the oven to 425°F, or according to puff pastry package instructions. - Lay out the puff pastry sheet over parchment paper. - Spread the pesto evenly on top of the puff pastry, using a spoon or a spatula. - Sprinkle the grated Parmigiano cheese on top as well. - Layer another sheet of puff pastry directly on top. - With a knife or pizza cutter, cut the puff pastry into about 1 in. strips - Fold the strips to make the Christmas tree shape, and add a skewer in the middle. - Bake for 10-15 minutes or until golden.View original recipe
